Lila Jade's Bat Mitzvah Project: Help Me Reach My Goal of $10,000 to Support the Orphaned Children of October 7th
Welcome to Lilah Jade's Bat Mitzvah Project Fundraising Page! A Mitzvah Project is an act of service tied to a bat mitzvah, symbolizing responsibility, kindness, and giving back. As I prepare for my Bat Mitzvah, I am committed to helping children in Israel who have suffered unimaginable loss.
On October 7th, 2023, the devastating attack by Hamas terrorists resulted in the loss of many Israeli civilians and left hundreds of children orphaned. The Israeli Children’s Fund (ICF), also known as Atufim B'Ahava, was founded with the mission to provide these children with the support they need to rebuild their lives. The ICF supports more than 470 children, from infancy to 25 years old, who lost one or both parents as a result the attack. Many of these children have endured profound trauma—losing parents, siblings, and homes. Some are still displaced within Israel
To address these challenges, the ICF focuses on three main pillars: Financial Empowerment, which allocates funds to recovery, education and life milestones per child to secure their future; Comprehensive Support, acting as a central hub, connecting children and families with vital resources, government benefits and aid programs; and Tech-Driven Impact, leveraging technology such chatbots and digital hubs to streamline access to resources and opportunities.
This cause is deeply personal, I cannot imagine losing my family and security overnight. No child should endure that pain. Your support is more than a donation—it’s a message of hope. Every dollar counts. Let’s show these children they are not forgotten.
