Nirim. Changing Life Stories.

From high risk to the heart of Israeli society

Nirim invites you to give high-risk youth another chance to return to the heart of Israeli society as citizens who contribute to themselves, their families, and the nation.

The Nirim Foundation was established in 2003 in memory of Nir Krichman, a Shayetet 13 (Navy SEALs) commando who fell in 2002 during "Operation Defensive Shield." Inspired by Nir’s values of excellence and leadership, we are on a mission to provide hundreds of high-risk Israeli youth with a second—and often final—chance to change their life trajectory.

What We Do:

Nirim operates a unique, nationwide educational-therapeutic program. We don’t just offer "support"—we set a high bar. Through wilderness therapy, intensive emotional work, and a supportive educational envelope, we lead our youth toward self-development, academic achievement, and meaningful service in the IDF. We empower them to transition from being at-risk to becoming responsible, contributing citizens of Israel.

Our Impact by the Numbers (22 Years of Activity):

The results prove that our method works, transforming lives where it was thought impossible:

  • Over 90% of our graduates earn a full high school matriculation certificate (Bagrut).

  • More than 95% enlist in meaningful, high-level service in the IDF.

Why Your Support Matters:

The success of these young men and women is the success of Israeli society as a whole. Your donation provides the resources necessary to give these teens the tools they need to write a new, promising chapter in their life stories.
