The first shelter in Israel for women and their children, victims of domestic violence, was established in 1977 by Women for Women Foundation. The shelter strives to provide physical and emotional security for the women and their children, regardless of race, religion, nationality culture, age, or socio-economic level. We are open 24 hours a day, all year round, to provide holistic, professional support. We also operate formal educational frameworks for children ages 6 months-6 years, as well as informal educational frameworks for all children and youth in the shelter. Our vision is to empower and strengthen the women and their children, to enable them to leave the circles of violence and crime and begin new normative life in the society.
