The Gesher Scholarship Fund

The Yahel Social Change Fellowship is a 9-month program placing volunteers in Israeli communities across Haifa, Lod, and Rishon LeZion, combining hands-on service with deep engagement in Israeli society.

The Gesher Scholarship helps exceptional changemakers from around the world take part in this fellowship. Welcoming non-Jewish participants into this community has always mattered deeply to us. It builds genuine understanding between Jews and non-Jews in a way that few other experiences can, and it reflects the kind of open, connected Israel we believe in.

Many of our Jewish fellows rely on Masa funding to help cover the cost of the program, support that simply isn't available to non-Jewish participants. The Gesher Scholarship exists to close that gap. Founded by a former fellow, it has already supported 15 participants from 8 countries, fueling a more inclusive and globally diverse movement for meaningful service and social impact in Israel.
